VOCAL DEEP DIVE WITH REZÁ AZUL: DROPPING INTO THE CREATIVE RESERVOIR
ENTER THE MYSTERY AND GIVE VOICE TO IT’S HIDDEN SILENCE
Rezá Azul is a vocal duo featuring premiere San Francisco Bay Area & Los Angeles vocal coach, Raz Kennedy, who has been teaching and performing world wide for over 50 years and Teresa Kali, an artist based in Malmö, Sweden, who has been teaching voice and performing as a professional singer on the stage and in the studio for over 30 years all around the world. Vocal Deep Dive with Rezá Azul: Dropping Into The Creative Reservoir is an intimate, two-day group class, focused on processes that bring the participants into a deep connection with the source of creativity and to speak one’s truth through vocal expression. The objective of this class is to guide participants into an experience of how expression through the voice can be a healing and sacred act. The aim is to awaken one’s capacity to feel free to be one’s true self, free emotional and psychological obstacles and discover a secure, easy ability to speak one’s truth through vocal expression. The aim is for each participant to get in touch with their own uniqueness and authenticity as an expressive human creature, as well as, to connect with clear communication in community with others.
Raz & Teresa will lead participants through a series of effective processes which enhances the ability to listen and to express:
physical calisthenics & breath work to energize and enliven the physical singing instrument
ear-training, rhythm games, movement and self inquiry to bring about a greater capacity for listening
guided journey work will be employed as a method to free the individual to have the capacity for truth telling
personalized strategies giving each participant additional tools to design an authentic vocal presence.
practical solutions to eliminate constrictions, emotional and physical tensions & other obstacles to maintain a centered and pure vocal presence
The community setting of the class provides a vibrant and supportive space and safe environment for singers who wish to discover and deepen their connection with their authentic voice.
Singing experience is not required to participate in this workshop. Only a curiosity to explore the unknown through sound and movement is required. Everyone is welcomed.
