Rezá Azul is a vocal duo featuring premiere San Francisco Bay Area & Los Angeles vocal coach, Raz Kennedy and Teresa Kali, who has been teaching voice and performing as a professional singer on the stage and in the studio for over 25 years in Malmö, Sweden. Vocal Deep Dive with Rezá Azul: Dropping Into The Creative Reservoir - Part 2 is an intimate, four-week follow up class for those who attended Part 1 of this course and would like to continue the journey. Like Part 1 of Vocal Deep Dive, the process of this class brings the participants into a deeper connection with that place within all of us where expressive creativity resides and springs forth. The objective of this class commits to guide participants into an experience of singing as a sacred act. The aim is to awaken and enhance one’s capacity for expressive freedom, emotional release and a secure, easy ability to express one’s truth. The aim is for each participant to get in touch with their own uniqueness and authenticity as an expressive artist, as well as, to connect with clear communication in community with others.
Raz & Teresa will lead participants through a series of important elements for expressive healthy singing:
physical calisthenics & breath work to energize and enliven the physical singing instrument
ear-training, listening skills and rhythm games to procure musicality
interpretation skills & guided journey work as a method to “get into the zone” for emotional storytelling
personalized strategies giving each participant additional tools to design an emotional vocal delivery
practical solutions to eliminate constrictions & other obstacles to maintaining a centered vocal posture
The community setting of the class provides a vibrant and supportive space and safe environment for singers who wish to discover and deepen their connection with their authentic voice.
Singers of all musical genres are encouraged to participate.
These classes will take place at Raz Kennedy Voice Studio in Berkeley, CA
